Vampy

Suited and booted in this stylish and vampy chic suit set from Charlotte Russe.

This is not your mother’s 80’s powersuit.  The soft relaxed look of this suit makes it daytime appropriate but the deep luxe color makes it so much edgier — no shoulder pads required.

I decided to keep the look monochromatic with a vampy matte lippie and textured handbag all in the same deep rich hue.  Adding more vamp in different textures helps the colors play off of each other without being overbearing or too matchy matchy.

It’s a no brain way to look stylishly chic. You will definitely see more monochromatic looks this season on the blog. Today’s look is grey for days; one of my favorite and unexpected colors for Fall! I’ve been really loving the new arrivals at Charlotte Russe lately. There are tons of options to create casually chic or glam monochromatic looks in Plus. The key is to switch up the patters, prints, and textures to create a visually dynamic and appealing outfit. Grey tones are the obvious motif of this look and I carried it through the entire outfit from sunnies to sandals! But with all that grey you know I need a punch of color so a bold matte red lippie pops against all of the muted grey tones. Can we take a minute to talk about how cool these Prada sunnies are?! When I saw them I was like “Oh, yeah those I need.” Then I saw the price tag and was like “Yeah. I don’t need them that much.” So that’s where DITTO comes in to save the fashionable day. It’s pretty neat. It’s like Rent the Runway but for designer sunglasses. For only $24 a month you get designer sunnies at your doorstep on rotation! From Karen Walker to Dolce and Gabbana, DITTO carries the chicest frames without costing you a pretty penny. Now you can get your first month for free on me! Use the code MUSINGSCURVYLADY to start blocking those UV rays in some designer sunnies! Photos by Emily Cunniff Photography
