The most frustrating thing about being fashionable and plus size is the lack of trendy beautiful designs that are created with my body in mind. So many times I often sigh in disappointment hoping and wishing more companies would make their pretty clothes in plus. Will it sell? No doubt, but some companies are afraid to take the risk to create designs with fabric and detail for larger bodies.
That is why I love love love Eloquii!
Every since they’ve relaunched as an independent brand back in February 2014, Eloquii has changed the game for plus size fashion and shopping. Almost every month they are coming out with new fashion forward, on trend and daring collections.
It’s always exciting to check out their new arrivals because you are bound to find something you have never seen before in plus size fashion.
Not only do they have a direct pulse on what we want from the plus size fashion community they have openly communicate and collaborate with their customers to keep in the know. Through their social media platforms (follow them on Facebook & Instagram) or their blog Style Q they encourage customer feedback and discussion. I don’t know of any company plus or straight size that has taken such a initiative in pleasing their potential customers.
So I’m obsessed with lace everything and I love the designs of Malaysian-born designer Han Chong. He’s the creative mastermind of the brand Self Portrait. Are you familiar? It’s a London based brand known for it’s subtle feminine designs that include lace, crotchet and tulle. Just a few of my favorite things…
But their sizes stop at a size 10 (insert sigh of major disappointment). Often times when I find designs that I love enough but can’t find in my size I go to my tailor/seamstress to see if they can recreate the look in plus which can be a bit pricey.
But when I saw this dress from Eloquii I just knew that I had to have it! It incorporated everything that I would want in a dream dress; the darling details, the delicate lace, and a great dress design. It just reminded so much of a Self Portrait dress. Plus it’s one of the fasting selling dresses on their website.
This only proves to me that when companies make modern, contemporary designs for plus it will do amazingly well. Money needs to be spent on both sides; companies and consumers to bring forth more fashionable designs. We want more options and I’m so thankful for companies like Eloquii that are champions in creating designs that go beyond what the fashion world might think is great plus size fashion.
Right now this dress is on sale so don’t miss out! I got it in black too I love it that much. I’m wearing a 22.
