The Essentials A cardigan + tee shirt and blue jeans will always and forever be a go to style staple look for me. One tip is to mix up your essentials to keep things fresh and new.
Mixing up those classic pieces takes the ordinary look up a few fashion notches. This doesn’t always mean you have to spend a lot of money to achieve a stylish look either.
Many fashionistas are all about mixing low and high end pieces which is totally cool btw but I find it more fun and challenging to mix low and low. I love taking pieces from fast fashion retail chains like Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe and make it more luxe and unique.
Instead of a regular cardigan try a maxi length.
Ditch your plain white tee and wear a graphic.
Distressed denim is always in but try it in a boyfriend style.
Swap out your ballet flats with a funky mule that adds color to a monotone look.
