I can’t believe just a month ago I was cruising the Western Caribbean with Princess Cruises. Cruising with them is one of my favorite ways to travel because you get to immerse yourself in a new country every time you hop off the ship while returning aboard to one of the finest vacation experiences at sea.
Don’t get me wrong, I love exploring new cultures with every port we sail to but something has to be said about a good classic sea day. With nothing but blue ocean around you, you might think what would I do on a sea day. Well on a Princess Royal Class ship there is so much to do you will find yourself wishing you had one more day to experience everything the ship has to offer.
Here are just some of my favorite things to do while at sea on Caribbean Princess.
GRAB BREAKFAST AT THE INTERNATIONAL CAFE
After sleeping in and getting a quick workout in (some of the best views are on the treadmill), I’m going straight to the International Cafe! It’s one of my favorite places to grab a bite to eat because you can have a little bit of everything whether you’re in the mood for something sweet or savory.
My go-to snacks of choice are the hot ham and cheese croissant, pasta salad, fruit tart and a honey lavender latte. I promise you, this will hit the spot!
There is such a delicious variety of food options while at sea but the International Cafe is perfect spot for a quick yummy bite with flavor pairings you never thought of.

ICE CREAM and LATTE BREAK at COFFEE & CONES
Need more of a pick me up? Head to Coffee & Cones for a little ice cream and a latte to get you ready for the full day ahead.
HAVE DRINKS BY THE POOL
Drinks by the pool is a classic way to spend some of your day at sea. My favorite pool spot on Caribbean Princess has to be the adults only pool by Outriggers (bar). With my Ocean Medallion clipped to me I can order all the coconut mojitos, tacos and fries right from my lounge chair or poolside.
It’s literally the best. Can it get any better?
LUXURY SHOPPING
Shopping is my cardio and if you like the finer things in life you will definitely love the luxury shopping you can do while at sea. From diamonds to gold to the finest wines and fragrances, you will enjoy discovering all there is to shop.
I’m a beauty and skincare enthusiast and picked up some amazingly deliciously luxe products from Chanel and Elemis.
PLAN USING THE PORTALS
Need help in finding out what activities are going on around the ship? You can use your MedallionClass app or the giant portals that are located throughout the ship to learn more about all the fun. With just a few taps you can see what time karaoke starts, or when that show begins at the Princess Theatre and most important of all, when SkyWalkers Club will have 90s night!
WATCH A MOVIE ON THE LIDO DECK
Want to catch a movie on the big screen? How about a really, really BIG big screen?
A movie under the stars is such a cool way to watch a new movie or a cult classic. Order food and drinks from your lounge chair and have them delievered right to you so you don’t miss a thing. During the day you can even play games using your Medallion Class app on the big screen too.
REST & RELAX IN THE SANCTUARY
If you need to sneak away from anyone The Sanctuary is the most serene and chill hideout spot. You can opt for a half day or a full day pass at this luxe adults only pool deck fully equipped with “Serenity Stewards” that will happily hand you a cold towels and refill your infused cucumber water. The lounge chairs in The Sanctuary are also the most luxe I’ve every laid on. You can also that reserve a cabana and book a treatment while laying out. It’s such a vibe.
BOOK A TREATMENT AT THE LOTUS SPA
I’m a professional when it comes to receiving a spa treatment and The Lotus is a must on every cruise. The Elemis products literally change your skin after one treatment and I’m hooked. My favorite treatment is the Biotec Massage and Facial.
FINE DINING AT THE CHEF’S TABLE
If you’re going to do anything on your Princess Cruise please book a spot for the Chef’s Table. It’s something that you have to request the first day you board the ship. This luxury and exclusive fine dining experience offers 10-12 guests to have the rare opportunity to meet the Executive Chef and have his team serve the most delicious and beautiful multi-course tasting dinner and wine pairings all described by the Chef himself. This is a must!
CATCH A SHOW AT THE PRINCESS THEATRE
No questions, these are some of the best performances you will see at sea! Princess Cruises’ entertainment is top tier and everyone that I ever take along with to experience agrees wholeheartedly. Be prepared to be dancing in your seat and applauding nonstop!
