“Dressing well is a form of good manners.” — Tom Ford
For many people Sunday morning means breaking out their finest clothing in order to praise God. I understand the reason to want to look great for a special day but to me the concept of looking your very best out of respect for God, for others, yourself or whatever your reason may be– that idea is something to try and incorporate on a daily basis. I’m not trying to get all religious here but a lot of my style is influenced because of my spirituality and I’ve gotten used to making my Sunday Best an everyday thing. I’m not saying that you need to wear designer duds and a new dress every time you go out and I definitely did not wake up like dis and I do own sweatpants — but it’s the principle that looking your very best shouldn’t be limited to celebs, the wealthy or designated for one day a week. Like Mr. Ford says – dressing well is a form of good manners and don’t we want to mind our manners everyday? Especially when there are so many benefits; it immediately boosts your confidence, your presence and your positive influence on others. But with whatever you decide is your Sunday Best wear it with confidence. Despite all the trends that may come and go, confidence is always in and it always looks good on you no matter your size.

Completely agree with the perspective that looking our best should be the rule in our lives, not the exception. It’s funny that many people think that in order to do so, you need a huge wardrobe or new clothes every other week. It’s good to have a functional wardrobe but not all big wardrobes are useful. I do agree that the most important thing is that you are confident. Thanks for this post. Very interesting thoughts.
Beautifully written by a beautiful woman.
That dress is gorgeous! And I love the garden–you always find the prettiest places to take outfit pictures.
This dress is just perfect, love it!
