I’ve often been told in the past (and presently told) to dress differently or cover up certain parts of my body to accentuate my good parts and shamefully hide the bad ones — in particular my fat chubby legs. But the thing is I love my legs and yes I love them even though they are chubby, fat and overweight… but my legs are also strong, powerful, thick, resourceful and beautiful. And thanks to these legs of mine I am able to do my job as a nurse well. I’m also able to run/walk that mile when I feel up to it and what I love the most about my legs is that they look great in a pair of sky high heels. For all these things and more I’m grateful for my tree trunk limbs and instead of worrying that my legs look too fat for that skirt or dress I remember the words of one of my all time favorite body positive inspirations that gave me a fat leg up.

I think your legs are beautiful! Thanks for sharing them with the world!
Thank you!
Yesss. I loved this shoot. xo
Yes it turned out great! Thanks to you! xx
Your outfit is amazing! I too am a nurse who has worked some long hours on these legs. And like you stated, mine are chubby as well. However your statement of how you love your legs whether chubby or slim put things in perspective for me. I’m always worrying about my legs. Well, no more will I do that thanks to your inspiration. In fact I’m gonna wear that cute little dress I was contemplating taking back to Ross. Thank you for this post, you rock!

That is so awesome girl! I love to hear you embracing the body you have now and not waiting till it changes to wear that dress! I hope you have fun rocking the heck out of it!
Love it – both your words and the photo shoot. I love that you talk about all the things you love about your legs, and that they have so much more significance than being slender vs. thick. And that bag! I’ve never seen one like it. It’s suck a shock of color against the rest of your outfit!
