Every Monday morning is in need of a pick me up so put on a bright lip or a fun nail color to liven up your work week. These little things can make your Monday a little more cheerier. Don’t believe me? Just try it! I know when I’m feeling down and I get the itch to do some major retail therapy for a cure I head to the makeup counter and pick up a new lipstick. It’s a quick pick me up that is easy on your wallet and pretty on your lips. So sparkle on…
I’ve had this sequined skirt for the longest time and never wore it because I’ve never found the perfect occasion to wear it out. I stopped waiting for the perfect moment and created it myself after all there’s no day like today (<– Rent Musical reference). Since I wanted to take the showy skirt down a notch for a look that was more casual glam I paired it with a striped sweater and added hues of blue via my suede shoes and clutch.

Just discovered your blog! I love your idea of giving yourself a pick-me-up with a little purchase that’s cheap but packs a boost of fun. Sometimes I just need my shopping fix but don’t have tons to spend. Maybe I should hit the make-up counter instead of clothing shops for something different that’s also easy on the wallet. 🙂 Good tip!

Liz THAT’S SO AWESOME. Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate it! I love little pick me ups. In fact I think I will be going tomorrow to MAC to pick up a new lip color called heroine. Very fitting for the fearless curvy girl, no? haha
