Okay so you’ve decided you want to be a YouTuber. Now what?
I know when I ventured into the video world I was completely unprepared for all the expense and necessary equipment it would take to produce binge-worthy content.
Lighting? A must. No one wants to watch a dimly lit video.
Audio? Wait I’m sorry, I couldn’t hear you over the background noise. Trust me when I say even a $30 microphone makes a difference. People won’t watch your video for too long if they can’t hear you.
Something I take into great consideration is my backdrop.
I want it to represent the Musings of a Curvy brand so that it’s recognizable and people know it’s one of my videos.
Just like anything else in the YouTube world, backdrops can become pricey but I used my last AndThat! Shopping Challenge to see if I could create a “on brand” background” under $50.
In some way, shape or foam flowers are incorporated in some facet of what I create. So I thought making a faux flower wall would be a great way to bring beauty and softness for my YouTube channel.
My local AndThat! has an entire faux flower wall and I found these beautiful ranunculus bunches for $5 each! Such a great deal because I’ve searched online for silk flowers and these type of flower can easily run $10-12 a bunch.
I got 8 bunches that had about 3 to 4 blooms each; this put me under my $50 budget. So I grabbed a bottle of San Sebastian Rosé because I feel like drinking a glass of good wine is always on brand. Low and behold when I got to the register to cash out the flowers were an extra half off!
Winning or what?!
I had such a great time over that last few months getting to challenge myself at AndThat! There are so many fun finds at such great prices; this experience has definitely made AndThat! a must go place for me to shop for well… anything!
