I can’t believe the weekend is over and it’s already Monday — granted we are only in the wee hours of the most hated day of the calendar week but still… Mondays stink! I had a long work week and was excited for Saturday to come which was spent with friends and family at Jacksonville Beach. Today was such a whirlwind but ended perfectly with a late night dip in the pool and a little jacuzzi time with some of my favorite ladies. Continue reading “Lazy Boyfriend”
Pink Persuasion
I unexpectedly was canceled from working tonight at the hospital so I tried to salvage what was left of my day by getting up and getting dressed. I met up with a friend for a quick drive to the park and then caught a flick at a local theatre. At least the weather was beautiful as my slipping Sunday came to an end. So with what little sunlight we had remaining my friend managed to get a few shots in. Continue reading “Pink Persuasion”

Shoes, Bags & Boys
Jeans and a tee shirt are the quintessntioal parts of the classic American ensemble that both men and women alike can wear and feel rebellious, comfortable and sexy. The possibilities are endless with the variety of choices to create a classic tee shirt and jean look. Whether you opt for a graphic or the great plain white, your tee should suit you. I love wearing a graphic tee with fun prints or sayings because it can instantly boost your outfit potential. I have had this tee for about a year and scored it on sale from Forever 21 +. I hope they start making more tees for the summer because I just might be living in them all summer long. It’s such an easy-go-to-outfit all you need is a pair of killer shoes and you’re good to go glam. Continue reading “Shoes, Bags & Boys”

Taste the Rainbow
As you guys know I love to wear bright colors. It’s funny to look back at my style choices over the years and see how much color played a role in creating my personal style. I used to be obsessed with wearing one color all the time — in middle school it was Carolina blue and during my junior year of high school I wore pink almost everyday. Thankfully things for me have changed and instead of focusing on wearing one color I embrace the rainbow especially if I can get away with wearing as many colors as I can in one outfit. Essentials
There are just some items every woman should have in their closet. These essentials are the building blocks of your personal wardrobe. These items can be worn alone or be styled with accessories or other essentials creating a new look. Examples of some basic essentials include an a-line skirt, the little black dress, a white collared man shirt, a well cut blazer and black pumps. Continue reading “Essentials”

Aloha!
I was pretty excited when I was approached by Ashley Stewart to participate in one of their blogger contests to create a styled look based on one of their pieces from their spring collection. With my choice of accessories and heels I played up the Linen Placket Bias Dress they sent me — which is super versatile and so comfortable to wear. Continue reading “Aloha!”

Spotted
So I have finally decided to emerge from my cave of sweat pants, baggy shirts and head wraps and decided to join the rest of the human race in getting up, out and properly dressed. It felt like a treat since it seems like I’ve only been wearing my ceil blue nursing scrubs more than anything else that I own. Continue reading “Spotted”

Untapped Potential
As I mentioned before this past weekend I covered the Ashley Stewart All White Event and the fashions were fierce. The all white collection was showcased by the sultry models of Dangerous Curves, a locally based production company and modeling agency founded by Karen Washington. White Ruffles
Yesterday I covered the Ashley Stewart All White Event in RiverCity and got to wear a fabulous all white ensemble courtesy of store manager Chanel Van Tillman (thank you!) I fell in love with this white dress and it’s romantic asymmetrical ruffles — very flattering and super perfect for spring. I couldn’t bear to part with it so I purchased it at 25% off (say word) and wore it again today to my meeting. I will be doing another post later this week with more looks from the models and my interview with Karen Washington, President and CEO of Dangerous Curves of Jacksonville.
