They have one of the best store layout and store fronts. It’s just such a fun store to walk around while using all of your senses exploring and ever since they’ve lauched A+ Anthropologie I’m literally on their site every day. I wish my local Anthropologie carried their plus range in store.

Anthropoligie Plus Jumpsuit + Shooting in the Rain
It will never cease to amaze me how transformative a little makeup, hair and a new outfit can be for your mood. Lately I haven’t been feeling like myself.
Nothing seemed to be going my way — not that I expect everything to go my way 100% of the time. But you know when the usual, trusty things become well, untrust-y?
I felt like I lost my mojo. My magic. Gone.
And as a visual storyteller, that’s kinda a problem, especially when my platform’s message is to primarily inspire creativity and confidence.
What’s the reason behind my melancholic state you might ask?
I’m tired. I’m honestly tired of juggling the many hats that I wear. Daughter, sister, caregiver, nurse, blogger, human.
Without the energy that sparks my love of doing everything that I do, I clam up on the couch and get lost down a rabbit hole of Investigation Discovery.
I’m all in or I’m all out.
I’m either doing it all or absolutely nothing and it’s really effecting my headspace.
When I’m high off of doing so much it makes me want to take on more. I have on an invisible invincibility cape and I’m just soaring through life.
But when I’m in a low depressed state, that figurative cape is replaced by a very real blanket, one where I wrap myself up in and isolate from the rest of civilization. I barely want to get out of bed and participate in adulting.
There has to be more balance in my life so that I don’t have those moments swinging from one end of the spectrum to the other because I want to continue doing all the things that I love doing with just that — love.
I would talk to other creative people in hopes of having their spark rub off on me. I read positive quotes. I said my affirmations in a mirror. I prayed.
Slowly I found enough courage to try and be creative.
I said to myself I’m going to get in front of the camera again and create a soft, modern bohemian look with this beautiful jumpsuit my friends from Anthropologie gifted me.
I turned on some of my favorite GRWM music and slowly as I highlighted and contoured my life away I started to feel good — more like myself.
I started to remember the girl that loved to do this. How much fun she had in the prep of it all.
As Taylor, my trusty photographer and sometimes hype woman, and I weaved around cars trying to find the perfect spot to shoot the look, I started to feel the rush of the challenge of shooting the look and having it come out the way it looked in my head.
I was feeling determined.
So much so that when we found the perfect spot and it started to rain mid shoot I didn’t care. I was going to get the shot because I was feeling myself– no rain could stop this!
I looked good and felt even better so I knew I had to commit to capturing this euphoria on camera while I still had it in me.
So these photos aren’t perfect. They’re are water spots on my clothes and arms from when a bought of rain poured down on me. It was the muggiest day ever and my make up started to sweat. Of course it was the day I didn’t have my trusty electric handheld fan with me.
But you know what, I felt awesome and was having a great time. Plus a cute passerby said I looked gorgeous which only amplified my Sascha Fierce mood.

All of this to say that it’s not a completely fixed problem and no, makeup or cute outfit won’t resolve my issues long term but I can’t deny that it did help a little.
What I am saying is that you have to do whatever you have to, to fight for the you, that you miss. The real you.

As a fashion blogger I find it very hard to give up creative control when it comes to my personal style choices.
I haven’t had the best experiences when it came to styling services because they just didn’t quite get “me” even if I filled out a style questionnaire.
I just couldn’t stop seeing ads for Stitch Fix on IG and so many of my blogger friends had been working with them and the selects that their stylist would pick were so spot on. The pieces were from brands I wasn’t aware of and I definitely reignited my interest and I was curious to try them out.
You can definitely say the influencer was influenced.

This was the piece that I decided to keep — a beautiful, striped woven high low dress from a brand I wasn’t familiar with, Love & Legend.
The fit was perfect and so was the feel and weigh of the linen material. I just love it.

I’m back with another Gibson look and this time it’s from the Hot Summer Nights collection. They collaborated with several influencers including a familiar face, my girl Roselyn Weaver — we did the Gibson International Women’s Day Collection together.

When your OOTD is the most comfortable pajama set it’s totally okay to post and share, right?! LC Lauren Conrad has been a fan favorite of mine since she launched her brand at Kohl’s 10 years ago!
Since launching her style brand she’s branched off to include plus sizes (yay!), jewelry, accessories, home decor and bed and bath.
Last month LC added sleepwear to her line and I’m here for all of it! When working from home (i.e. my bed) having comfy loungewear is a must.
I’m not one to make a big deal over clothes I wear around the house but when you come across something so luxurious and high quality; it definitely changes your mind and makes you think of other ways to elevate what may seem to be a trivial or mundane thing.
A workday including pajamas and and a glass of wine anyone?
This set is so soft and extremely comfortable and it has permanently replaced my oversized tee and shorts.
I love to mx it up but always keep it real. My heart will forever go pitter patter with something with ruffles, tulle or anything that moves when I do.
What I’m not is a fan of are big trends that seem to be all the rage but wind up living out their lives on the expired fashion shelf.
But when a trend and a classic come together its pretty much magic.
Case in point; the skort.
There is something so quintessentially femme and nostalgic about a skort.
Besides being a practical option if you don’t want to wear a mini skirt, a skort is such a throw back to simpler fashion times, for me anyway.
This particular skort is not your typical grade school, Lisa Frank Trapper Keeper, Giga Pet skort. This skort drinks red wine. It’s grown. It’s sexy and confident.
The paperbag waist detail is a great way to incorporate a modern trend. The classic tan trench coat fabric and the double button detail keeps in chic.
To keep this look a lá Thamarr, I wore a feminine white blouse with a beautiful sweetheart neckline. It’s such a pretty way to show off summertime décolletage without baring too much.
I also paired it with a fun statement sandal with gingham print ribbons that tie up. By adding pieces that felt very me and feminine it helped pull this look together and to me, make it real world wearable.
I went out to dinner with girlfriends after shooting this look and it was perfect. I was comfortable and didn’t have to worry about a wardrobe malfunction.
So the question I pose to you now: to skort or not to skort?
Nothing beats the summer heat than a darling white eyelet dress — well, maybe a ice cold cocktail but let’s stick to fashion, shall we?

To me, a little white dress provides effortless style without having to do the most.
It’s way too hot to fuss about fashion — my summer style is chic, easy and comfortable.
That’s what I love about a little white dress. Besides being super comfortable what’s so great about this chic and classy piece is that you will never have to worry about compromising on style.
Trust me. It’s wise to invest in a quality white dress that will come in handy season after season.
Dress it up with heels and a pearl necklace, keep it casual with a pair of sneaks and a denim jacket or if for miracle temps dropped low enough at night, edge up the sweetness with a leather moto.
My Housewarming Party + Why You Should Hire My DJ for Your Next Event
The process of buying a home is so stressful on it’s own but throw in life’s curveballs and well I was ready to pull out my hair and call it quits by the end of it.
The fact that I got through the home buying process solo was enough reason to celebrate but I wanted to have a special day with everyone that I love, the ones that prayed for me, gave me advice and helped me get through it all. That’s why I knew wanted to throw an epic housewarming party to say thank you to all of them.
I wanted it to be a real party where my friends could let loose and dance. When searching for a DJ I knew it would be the key to making the party seamless and enjoyable for all. No lulls of awkward silence when trying to transition to the next song.
My friend Carla suggested Generation Y Entertainment — her friends from college had started their own music entertainment company and have been killing it on the wedding vendor scene here in Jacksonville, Florida.
Generation Y Entertainment is made up of husband and wife duo and new parents, Caleb and Charlee Stoner. They are the experts in bringing the party minus the cheese to any wedding or event.
I was beyond fortunate that they were interested in gigging my party since they mostly do weddings. After I talked to Charlee and Caleb I knew they would help make my event more than just a housewarming — it was going to be a house party!
Charlee is the organizer and Caleb, the innovator and after a few phone calls, emails and text we were on the same page and knew the feel of the party.
Caleb was totally on board with keeping the music clean, hype and enjoyable. My friends are a pretty eclectic group varied in age and I just didn’t want to worry about any embarrassing lyrics while hosting.
We talked about some of my must have songs and I was just so thankful for Caleb’s expertise because I’ve never had done this before. He totally made me feel secure and trusted him.
The day of the party Caleb came to set up his gear and brought his equipment that totally goes with my personal aesthetic and made the party legit.
Pink uplighting anyone?!
He thought of little things that made me feel special and cared for as a client. He made sure everyone was having a good time and was comfortable– he even helped out with putting out chairs. Just a good guy, you know!
When the party got started he interacted with my friends getting people on the dance floor and having time for me to come up and thank all of my guest.
I loved that he wasn’t all business and he genuinely enjoyed himself and even got on the dance floor for a little battle between the guys and the girls. The guys won because of his amazing Dougie skills.
All I can say is that I had the best time at my housewarming party and a huge part of that was because of Generation Y Entertainment. I can only imagine what they can provide for a bigger event like a wedding or an anniversary party.
All of my friends said that the party was lit and the music was poppin’ and there is no way I can take the credit. Thank you Caleb and Charlee for helping make this big moment something I will never forget!

Is it just me or does your mood improve when you love your outfit?! I know mine does, exponentially! And who doesn’t love a great everyday look that can take you from meetings to meetups with friends in no time.
I’ve been a fan of the pieces from Lauren Conrad’s line at Kohl’s for a long time so when they made the jump a few years ago to extend their sizes to include plus I was so happy!
I don’t have to try and make certain styles work for my body since the clothes now are designed with me in mind.
With the summer heat upon us it can be so overwhelming to think about getting dressed — can’t I just go out in public my skivvies?
But no worries, I honestly have getting dressed in the Florida heat down to a science that will keep you looking and feeling fresh and cool.
What you’re going to need first are some white jeans. Whether cropped, wide or straight leg or white jeans are a summer fashion staple and are a perfect way to balance and anchor any outfit. All you need next is the perfect shoe. Wear heels, mules or slides depending on the feel of your look and don’t forget a bold statement earring. I am obsessed with all natural and straw bags and this one is the perfect size to carry all your must haves while out and about.
I could re-wear this kind of outfit all summer long. It really is a new spin on a uniform. There is no need to overthink it because it will look great every single time.
