Charmed
Small details can take a simple idea and transform it into something completely new and different giving life and character to your outfit. When shopping for clothes I always find myself drawn to these little things (bows, pleats, embellishments) that take plain garments and give it a touch of sweetness, femininity and ladylike charm. Custom Comfort
It seems like I’ve been living in 4 inch heels lately so it was such a treat to chill out wearing flats and sneakers this weekend. I’m a fan of classic looks and comfort and there’s something about a sweatshirt and sneaks that bring me back to the effortless style and easy days of growing up in the ’90s. Neon Bright
A well dressed woman will always get noticed for all the right reasons – regardless if she’s wearing a ball gown or a ball cap and sneaks. It’s the understated sexiness, sophistication, class, femininity — that je ne se quoi… that makes being a woman and playing dress up so much fun. Continue reading “Neon Bright”

Notorious
In grade school I’ve always loved the month of February and not for the reasons you might think. Yes, many consider this the Love Month and will be celebrating theirs on the 14th – but I aim to celebrate my love for my family and friends everyday of the year by being the best daughter, sister and friend. I figure you can usually count on having successful relationships if you give your best and try to keep an open heart and mind — eager to love and most of all ready to forgive. And having meaningful relationships is something to celebrate everyday – whether you say I love you, send a “just because” card in the mail or keeping your friends in your personal prayers. Leg Up
I’ve often been told in the past (and presently told) to dress differently or cover up certain parts of my body to accentuate my good parts and shamefully hide the bad ones — in particular my fat chubby legs. But the thing is I love my legs and yes I love them even though they are chubby, fat and overweight… but my legs are also strong, powerful, thick, resourceful and beautiful. And thanks to these legs of mine I am able to do my job as a nurse well. I’m also able to run/walk that mile when I feel up to it and what I love the most about my legs is that they look great in a pair of sky high heels. For all these things and more I’m grateful for my tree trunk limbs and instead of worrying that my legs look too fat for that skirt or dress I remember the words of one of my all time favorite body positive inspirations that gave me a fat leg up.
