I don’t know about you, but the sun just has a way of making everything better.  Warm rays of vitamin D is good for the body and mind.  It also inspires me to share my happy mood through my clothes.  I love to experiment with daring and bold color combinations that give off spring-time-and-almost-summer-time-vibes that can’t help but make you smile.

Tight season is officially upon us and I’m so excited to be able to walk into a store and find tights in my size. 

Just My Size is the brand to reach for in the hosiery section if you’re plus.  They have a great selection of tights in a bunch of different styles up to size 4x.  I have fallen for the Just My Size Blackout Tights.

They are thick and are tough enough to go through several wears without tearing or running.

So a few months ago the fashion high-low world went bonkers when major Paris fashion house Balmain released a limited collection at H&M.  It wasn’t surprising that it didn’t include plus sizes.  Not surprising but it’s still bothersome to not have the opportunity to cloth myself in rope inspired, emerald and sapphire blinged out attire.

I digress.

One of the items that I would have loved to have gotten from the collection was a fierce ivory double breasted blazer with big gold buttons.

There is no doubt that I wouldn’t be the woman I am today without my mother paving the way for me in so many ways.  She’s funny, hardworking, fearless, mild and quiet, but so smart and thoughtful.  A natural born leader; she could have easily been a lawyer or a politician but she’s always been a woman of God and only worked in order to provide for her 5 children.  She’s strong and resilient and seriously the kindest sweetest person you could ever meet.
