I don’t know about you but I have this crazy idea that I can work out and be active without the intentional purpose to lose weight to meet someone else’s idea of having a great year.

Okay, so true story:  I went to a beach bonfire in the middle of Fall and froze my booty off.  I thought wearing jeans and boots would be a safe bet but I was so wrong.

I didn’t take into consideration that it would be way cooler at night and 10º cooler by the water.

When I was younger, my idea of style consisted of wearing the same shades of color from head to toe.  I can literally remember being 12 years old and looking in the mirror in the school bathroom, checking myself out in my monochromatic ensemble.

I was draped in different shades of red, oh and in different fabrics too.
So there I was fixing my rose hued velvet, satin and corduroy outfit just thinking that I was “it”.

I love using tights as a great transformation piece.  Wearing a patterned pair is great for an autumn/winter look under a dark floral print dress.
