This ModCloth skirt is helping me stay chic, classy and cool this summer.

You can catch in me in a dress or skirt more often than not.  I’m a fan of the freedom it gives and the instant as well as effortless chicness it gives an outfit even in the savage heat of summer time in Florida.

Immediately I gravitated to this striped number because, well, I’m a sucker for stripes (even with the absurd fashion rules about them not being for everybody.)

Weekends are for relaxed, lived in denim, slouchy tanks and bold neon statement jewelry and heels … obvy.

It’s a three day weekend for most (not me unfortunately — hospitals are opened 24 hours 7 days a week) but I’m not complaining.  I’m going to appreciate the time that I do have outside of wearing nursing scrubs.  So that means getting up and getting dressed, putting on some lipstick and start feeling oh so blessed, because I am even when I don’t think so.
