When I was in LA back in September I stopped by LACMA to shoot in front of the famous Urban Light exhibit.  

The artist, Chris Burden originally hails from my hometown of Boston, Massachusetts and the famous lamps are actually 202 restored antique street lamp posts from the 1920s-30s that he collected over a period of 7 years.

Ever since it’s installation back in 2008, Urban Light has become a popular landmark for photographers, tourists and bloggers alike, including yours truly.

I can’t believe my trip to the west coast has been almost 2 months ago!  It takes me forever to get back on track from a major trip.  Can you believe that I’m still not settled in!?  I still have loads of images to load onto my MAC and get printed, “Thank You” cards to send out and of course style posts to write of my Cali looks!

I love a lot of Kelly’s out there.  Kelly Clarkson.  Kelly Kapowski.  Kelly Kapoor.  R. Kelly.  But my all time favorite has to be Kelly Green.  I love color in general but Kelly is totally one of my favorites for sure.  

When I first saw this dress I was immediately attracted to it’s bright, cheery, happy color and the swing style — ugh I just LOVE!

As we bid adieu to summer with the Harvest Moon/Equinox happening and all,  I wanted to share one of my favorite looks from my end of summer trip to California.
