I don’t have any sisters so I never had a partner in crime to play dress up with or fight over makeup.  I am fortunate to have some amazing friendships with women in my life that definitely have a sisterly vibe.  One of those ‘ships is with my friend Carla.

She’s also a blogger and one of the first bloggers I ever met at an event which can be super intimidating.

Carla and I hit it off right from the start and we’ve been friends ever since.

It’s no surprise that I have an intense love for Parisian panache.  There’s something that’s just so effortlessly beautiful about the city of Paris, the fashion and it’s people.  Minus all the cigarettes. 

I first traveled to the city of love and light six years ago.  I went by myself and took a group tour.  Although it was a great experience and I met people that would later be good friends, it definitely felt rushed.

Do you have that one dress that you keep reaching for despite having plenty of others to wear? This off the shoulder ruffle dress is mine. Every since I got this dress I can’t stop wearing it.  It’s been a welcomed repeat offender this summer for it’s practicality, light weight fabric and super cute and on trend ruffles.  You all know how I love a good ruffle.

Simultaneously giving you the cold shoulder and being coquettishly sweet is a breeze with a favorite trend of mine.  Baring skin in cold shoulder blouses is still a hot commodity.  It hasn’t missed a beat since I first started seeing them about a year and half ago.

You can’t stop seeing this trend everywhere and I’m not mad at it.  It’s romantic and feminine so of course I always need just one more.

I will forever be obsessed with darling details and Parisian inspired femininity.  So when I found this pretty plaid frock with it’s dropped waist, mix and match cold shoulder details I knew the key to styling it would be to keep it simple and sweet. 

When wearing a dress that has a lot of personality I tend to keep the accessories and shoes simple and muted so it doesn’t take away from the woah factor.

As much as I love this city I can never seem to get a handle on it.  No matter how many times I go I always feel like I’m upside down and get lost on the subway and spend a ridiculous amount of money on ubers and taxis trying to get home.
