A few weeks ago I traveled up to NYC with my creative tribe for the Glamour Women of the Year Awards.  It was a quick trip but we managed to pack in a ton.  Planning ahead made all the difference.  

So with a little research I found this darling eatery for brunch, While We Were Young in New York’s Greenwich Village.

This place was basically made for Instagram.  It’s small but packs on the pretty and darling details in each and every corner.

I will forever be obsessed with darling details and Parisian inspired femininity.  So when I found this pretty plaid frock with it’s dropped waist, mix and match cold shoulder details I knew the key to styling it would be to keep it simple and sweet. 

When wearing a dress that has a lot of personality I tend to keep the accessories and shoes simple and muted so it doesn’t take away from the woah factor.

It seems that the world waits three hundred and sixty five days in order to reset, reignite or resolve to be better.  I think waiting all that time is a waste.

I’m always want to be progressing, refining and accomplishing my goals.  The thing is that it doesn’t have to begin on January 1st.  The real hustle and grind doesn’t wait for the ball to drop.

Goals to be a better you can be sparked by the tiniest flame and when we reach those goal it should be celebrated.

Temperatures are still, well temperate here in Florida and I’m getting plenty of wear from this cold shoulder ruffle dress.

I originally wore this dress during NYFW earlier last month and it was still very warm in the city.

I love that this dress features so many trends in one look.  I’ve got the shoulder cut outs, ruffles and the soft pink color is right on trend this season.

Innocent white lace is given a dark romantic twist with the additions of deep merlot and violet accessories. 

I love the simple elegance of this oversized lace dress.  It’s not a typical silhouette you might see on a plus woman but I guess that’s why I love it so much.

We’re in the this awkward period of seasonal fashion where there are still peekaboo days of summer but we are clearly beyond the brink and well into autumn.

This past weekend I ventured to the cutest littlest donut shop in town – Sweet Theory –  where I got my sweet tooth fix and an opportunity to wear pastels clogs and my favorite donut top.  It was a Sunday Funday indeed.

So the thing about Sweet Theory is that you have to go early when all the goodies are in ample supply because in a few short hours they will be sold out.
