Sometimes a great outfit can be ruined by overthinking. Some of my very best outfits are ones that are styled last minute or without much scrutiny. But how to do it? That’s the question.
The trick is to have fashion staples that can be worn again in a different style for an entirely different look.
I love using tights as a great transformation piece. Wearing a patterned pair is great for an autumn/winter look under a dark floral print dress.
This dress can be reworn during warmer months just by ditching the tights and oversized cardigan. Swap out the booties for some flats and add straw details for a light and fun summer look with a boater hat and basket bag.
This dress is darling on it’s own. I love the tulip sleeves and the hi-lo design that gives me more coverage for my backside. I find when I wear shorter dresses my back sided raises the hem so I tend to stay away from them.
It’s really amazing how just a few extra inches of material to the back of a dress has completely changed my world. It’s not super dramatic either. I don’t really like the major hi-lo trend. This way it’s subtle and practical.
