Hello Beauties!
This past Sunday was the “Integrating the Runway” Fashion Show presented by LS 1426  Fashion Week.  CEO & Founder Linda Scott did not disappoint in featuring amazing designers and a full supply of beautiful curvy models with a little buff man meat too!

With my Curvy Team in tow (Jessica of J & C Photography and Brianna of Curves of Chocolate) we arrived in Miami late Saturday night grabbed a bite to eat at the Democratic Republic of Beer, AKA DRB and then headed to Ocean Drive to hit up Mangos.  Sunday morning we attended a meeting at the local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  The hall was beautiful and the perfect backdrop to shoot a few pics.  We then went back to Ocean Drive for a lovely brunch at The Front Porch Cafe.  (Get the french toast — your taste buds will be thanking you! So good!)  Then it was time to head back to the hotel for the show!

Amazingness!
Being behind the scenes allowed me to see the chaos, crazy and ultimately the creation of an fantastic show!  It was empowering being surrounded by so many women of all shapes and sizes looking fabulous.  It was also a testament to the creative mind; these designers showcased imagination and diversity for their spring collections with innovative designs that hugged every curvy silhouette.  It was amazing to see it — the life and color brought to a some what forgotten community in the fashion world.  The models didn’t hold anything back either as they sashayed out on the runway fierce, firery and fabulous.  The audience was totally feeling the vibe too.  You constantly heard other women clapping and saying “Yes! Yes!” “You betta WERK!” “Beautiful!”  It was contagious and I found myself doing it too!   I loved the fact the show featured so many different sizes (2-26) and everyone was loved and accepted.  The show was proof to the notion that EVERY BODY IS BEAUTIFUL.

Being interviewed by Amplification Inc. and chatting it up about one of the desingers,  Flavonik!
Future Fashion Model, Blogger & Designer — Zhanee.  She’s 11 and already sketches and  walks the runway.  Absolutely fabulous.
Here are a few of my favorite looks from the show.
She was one of my favorite models.  Thick wit it in all the right places and so confident!
6’5 and fabulous!
Another fave look.  I love anything peplum!

Our lovely host Whitney Thompson.
Killer Wedges!
We met male model Yaz before the show not thinking he was actually going to walk. This is  how we were reintroduced — while he was wearing a bright orange Speedo.
Hanging out before the show with bloggers Violet Moya (she also modeled) of Curvy Girl on a Budget & Brazillia Moda of P.H.A.T & Loving It!
It was great to meet other curvy bloggers too and of course Whitney Thompson of ANTM.  She looked great in her all black ensemble and I just loved her chunky pink platform sandals.  I had such a great time and that was only one night of a full week of full figured fashion love.  I have to thank Linda Scott for inviting me out to her event and her continued work in embracing the curvy woman.  Till next year Miami.
