Sublte Statement

January 2, 2015

A monochromatic look in a pastel hue can look soft and innocent but still pack some fashion punch.  Think Kim Kardashian.  From greys, camels, creams, and soft pinks — she’s the reigning queen in my book of monochromatic curvy style.

The key is to look like it didn’t take a team of people to get dressed.

Doing “effortlessly chic” can actually prove to be a lot harder than it looks especially if you’re unsure of your fashion choices.

Celebs have stylists that help them create those “casual” looks we see in US Weekly as they walk down the street doing mundane things.  You can pull off the easy & simple polished look minus the glam squad.

To achieve this look minimalism is a must.

Simple neutral make up and hair adds to the “effortless” aesthetic.

A pastel is a great choice this season.  It’s different and unexpected during the winter yet it’s subtle enough to wear during the day.  The clincher is wearing it head to toe — what a subdued, subtle and stylish statement!

I’m new to your blog, but I must say you look stunning and I love your style. I feel so inspired by you because you and I are about the same size and shape and I tend to feel like it’s hard for me to look fashionable and feel pretty, but looking at how gorgeous you are really makes me feel like I can look pretty too. I was feeling kinda down, but this totally brightened up my perspective. Thankx <3

I’m very much a monochromatic fan and I agree that doing so in pastel really gives off a much ‘effortlessly chic’ look. Great job!
