Victoria may be keeping her secret to herself but I’m letting this cat out the bag.
Confidence is sexy people! And it’s the most important thing you need to be wearing all season long — well besides a killer swimsuit.
With each passing year instead on focusing on my waistline getting smaller I concentrate on cultivating a bigger and stronger self worth. Not to be mistaken for cockiness because self confidence is something that is contagious and attracts whereas cockiness and conceit tends to drive people away.
Warm weather means tropical getaways, pool parties and beach days — why miss out on all of that because of a belly roll or two? Those belly rolls will still be there even if you decide to stay in the house or underneath a cover up so might as well bring those bad boys to the party with you. If other people have a problem with how you look, it’s their personal problem and not yours. As long as you feel good about yourself what’s the big deal? It’s crazy to let some random stranger’s belief of what a good body looks like prevent you from appreciating your own.
Whether you’re a size 2 or 32 you have the right to lay by the pool, enjoy the weather and look and feel sexy at the same time. Beaches and pools or self confidence for that matter are not exclusively owned by the tight and toned. That’s what our society wants us to believe. Go ahead and show off your thin ab-tastic bodies confidently pretty people but oh, you fatties should feel ashamed, stay inside and covered up because no one wants to see it.
That’s not true. I want to see it and lots of it. Use the hashtag #TheSecretsOut when you post your bathing suit pics this year! I’d love to see all of you in your bikinis and such!
There’s no overnight secret in gaining self confidence. It takes time and winning those little battles every time you want to give into societal rules. You can start by going to that pool party this year and bask in the sun and in your awesomeness.
