Brick & Mortar

Brick & Motar:  relating to or being a traditional business serving customers in a building as contrasted to an online business (Merriam-Webster)

When it comes to plus size fashion, we as consumers have been conditioned to do most of our shopping online as oppose to shopping at brick & mortar establishments.  Don’t get me wrong — I have come to love online shopping because of it’s convenience but there is just something about walking into a store and being able to shop and find things made for your body off the rack and walk out with bags in hand with hair flowing in the wind (think Cher Horowitz, Clueless), that is so appealing.  We need more fashion retailers to take their plus size products to physical locations so we can see the products first hand and try them on like straight sizes can.  That’s why I’m super excited that WetSeal has decided to cater to their plus size consumers and bring their online plus size products to over 25 of their brick & motar locations this summer!  I’ve teamed up with WetSeal to create a few looks from their summer collection and they have the cutest stuff — my favorite are a pair of pineapple printed shorts with a ruffle hem (click here to see.)  Make sure to follow WetSeal+ on Instagram to stay in the know of newest plus size products and for a new store location opening near you!
