Belly Jelly

Okay, so the crop top trend has resurfaced from it’s hay day and I’m totally okay with that!  When model turned designer Grisel Angel created her new line by Grisel earlier this year I was super excited to see her feature plenty of plus size crop top items including this perfect all white skater skirt set.  August is the last full month of summer and since it’s winding down and you might as well go out with a bang and this crop top set is sure to do that.  I paired it with my lace bomber from ASOS for those cool summer evenings.

Baring belly jelly is always a concern for my plus girls out there but do what feels comfortable to you.  But it is possible to wear this trend whether your the gutsy type (no pun intended) or the more reserved type.  Either way don’t feel pressured to try or to avoid a trend.  But I do love when I see plus girls baring mid drift — I’m not waiting till my stomach looks like Britney Spears in the I’m a Slave for You video to show some of my jelly.

  1. So stunning! You look amazing in white! I’ve recently tried the crop top thing for the first time, and although it felt uncomfortable at first, I pushed through because I wanted to feel as amazing as I thought other women looked in them. And now I do! Guess there’s merit to the adage “fake it till you make it”. I think the key is a high waisted skirt that you feel fabulous in 🙂
